Squishy food

Food squishies started the big squishy boom and they still make up a huge part of what people buy. Bread, cake and fruit are the classics. Cheese and butter got so popular that they have their own page here. Now and then a food meme turns into a squishy too, like the viral chocolate bar.

Nearly all of them are slow rising foam with a painted surface. Squeeze a toast flat and it comes back over a few seconds. A few food squishies have a gel or oil filling instead. You can find those on the butter and coconut oil pages, and they should never be bitten or cut open.

Can you eat a squishy?

No. A food squishy only looks like food. It is a toy made of foam or plastic and doesn't belong in anyone's mouth.

What are food squishies made of?

Mostly soft PU foam with a printed or painted surface. Some have a skin with a gel filling inside.

Why does my food squishy smell?

Fresh foam can smell a little right out of the bag. Let it air out for a day or two and the smell usually fades.
