Butter Box Template with a Name Label

This butter box template has a blank label on the front where you write a name, and it's free to print. The finished box is 30 x 30 x 110 mm. It makes a cute place card or party favour.

Quick answer

Print at 100 % and write the name before folding. Then cut out the net, fold, glue the tab and close the ends. Cutting is done by an adult. The box isn't for under-threes.

A butter box with your name on it

A blank label turns the butter box into something personal. Write a name, a date or a short message.

The sides are a soft butter colour with a cream label on the front. Writing is easier while the net is still flat, so do the lettering first and fold afterwards, and the label stays straight and readable on the finished box.

How to fold the name box

  1. Print unscaled and measure the 1 cm square.
  2. Write the name on the label while the net is flat.
  3. Cut out the net and the short slits by the tuck flaps.
  4. Fold all lines, glue the tab inside the opposite edge and let it set.
  5. Close both ends with the dust flaps and tuck flaps.
