Octopus Paper Squishy Template, Pink with Curls

Our octopus paper squishy template is a pink octopus with a round dome head, light spots and six short curled tentacles with little suckers, free to print. Two pink cheeks give it a shy look. Six arms instead of eight keeps them chunky enough to cut.

Quick answer

Print at 100 % and colour the octopus pink. Tape both halves and let an adult cut between the tentacles. Join them, stuff the head and only a pinch into each arm. Under-threes shouldn't get it.

A pink octopus with six arms

A real octopus has eight arms. Eight would be too thin, so ours has six short curled ones.

Pink octopus with six curled tentacles

The head is a round dome with light spots. The tentacles curl at the tips and show small suckers. On the back the spots return without a face, and the curls are wide enough that the tape can wrap round them instead of splitting at every bend.

Cutting between arms is adult work.

Making the octopus squishy

  1. Print at 100 % and colour the octopus pink with lighter spots.
  2. Tape both halves and press the tape between the tentacles.
  3. An adult cuts along the grey border and between each arm.
  4. Tape the halves together with very short pieces round the curls.
  5. Stuff the head, a pinch into each arm with a pencil, then close it.

Overstuffed arms split first. Keep them soft. Our paper squishy guide covers tearing seams, and the whale is in the template collection.

Eight would be too thin to cut and stuff. Six chunky arms hold up better.

The big octopus is 9 x 10 cm, the small 6 x 6 cm.

Can kids make it?

With an adult cutting between the arms, yes. It's not for children under three.
