Seven centimeters of bright orange, and it looks just like a runny egg yolk. Our egg yolk squishy is a handmade ball with a thick jelly filling inside a soft plastic shell.

What's inside the egg yolk squishy?

Petroleum jelly. That's why the ball feels thick and soft when you press it. Squeeze slowly and the shell gives way until you feel the filling move underneath.

The maker calls it a crispy yolk ball. The product data says nothing about an actual crunch, so expect a smooth squish.

How big and heavy is it?

About 7 cm across (2.8 in), roughly the size of a tennis ball. It weighs about 130 g. That's a lot for such a small ball, and your palm notices right away.

Size	about 7 cm (2.8 in) across
Weight	about 130 g
Shell	soft plastic, handmade
Filling	jelly (petroleum jelly)
Packaging	clear round capsule

An egg in a capsule

Each yolk arrives in a clear round capsule, so it's ready to hand over. Hide it in an Easter basket or set it next to someone's breakfast plate as an egg nobody has to cook.

Our coconut oil squishies are where the other filled balls live.

How do you keep a filled squishy intact?

Wipe only the outside with a damp cloth. Keep the yolk in the shade at room temperature and away from heaters and hair dryers.

Notice a greasy film? Wrap a tissue around the ball and press lightly. A wet spot on the tissue points to a leak. Please don't bite it or cut it open.
