A starry sky in the shape of a sitting fawn. That's the galaxy deer squishy, with a coat that fades from purple to deep blue under white speckles and a pink bow between its little antlers.

Is the galaxy deer squishy slow rising?

Yes. It's PU foam, the kind that takes its time. Squeeze it in your hand and it puffs back up over a few seconds. The maker doesn't say exactly how many, so count along on your first squeeze.

What does it smell like?

Something faintly sweet, says the maker. Don't expect a strong perfume. The galaxy print wraps all the way round, so the deer looks good from the back too, which helps on a crowded shelf.

How big is the deer?

No measurements from the maker. It's roughly palm-sized, and the big shiny eyes do most of the talking.

Space fans and forest animal fans meet in the middle here. It's a sweet little gift for a kid's room or for a desk with too much grey on it.

Foam drinks water and dries slowly. Dab off dust with a damp cloth and let the fawn air dry. Its spot is in the shade at room temperature, never on a radiator.

More furry friends live in our squishy animals.
