Golden layers, darker baked edges and that classic curve. This croissant squishy comes in two sizes, and both are soft PU foam that rises slowly after you squeeze it.

Which size should you pick?

The small croissant is 12.5 × 5.2 cm and weighs about 24.5 g. That's a little shorter than a smartphone.

The big one measures 16 × 8.5 cm at about 40 g. Hold it next to a phone and it's roughly the same length, only much puffier.

Small	12.5 × 5.2 cm (4.9 × 2 in), about 24.5 g
Large	16 × 8.5 cm (6.3 × 3.3 in), about 40 g
Material	PU foam, slow rising
Look	baked layers with darker edges

How slowly does the croissant squishy rise?

Squeeze it flat in your fist and let go. It needs a few seconds to puff back into shape. The maker gives no exact time, so press your thumb in and count until the dent is gone.

Breakfast prank or bakery shelf?

Slip it into the bread basket on a Sunday morning and wait to see who reaches for it first.

Fans of fake bakes give it a spot next to their buns and toast. It finds plenty of company in our bread squishies.

How do you clean a foam croissant?

Foam soaks up water and dries slowly. So it never goes under the tap, and you never wring it out. Dab marks off with a damp cloth and let it air dry.

Store it loose. A croissant that spends days squashed at the bottom of a box can lose some of its puff.
