Ice Cream Cone Paper Squishy Template, Free PDF

This ice cream cone paper squishy template is a round pink scoop with soft drips sitting on a crisscross waffle cone, free to print. The face is on the scoop. It's tall and slim, so it fits nicely in one hand.

Quick answer

Print at 100 % and colour the cone light brown. After taping both halves, cut them out along the grey border. Join them, fill the scoop and let the cone stay softer. Keep it away from children under three and let a grown-up cut the drips.

A pink scoop on a waffle cone

Ice cream is a summer favourite, but paper ones don't melt. The scoop sits slightly wider than the cone, like it's about to spill over.

Little drips run from the scoop down onto the cone. The cone has a crisscross pattern that looks like real waffle. On the back you'll find the scoop with sprinkles and no face.

The cone ends in a rounded point, not a sharp one. That keeps the tape from splitting at the tip.

How to make the ice cream cone

  1. Print with "Fit to page" switched off and measure the 5 cm line.
  2. Colour the scoop pink and the cone light brown. Draw the crisscross lines darker on the outline page.
  3. Tape over both halves, scoop and cone together.
  4. Cut along the outer edge of the grey border and go gently round the drips.
  5. Tape the halves back to back, but leave the top of the scoop open.
  6. Stuff the scoop round, push a little into the cone with a pencil, and tape it closed.

The cone tip needs very little filling. A pinch keeps it from creasing. Our paper squishy guide has the full method, and a popsicle is also in the template collection.

FAQ

How tall is the ice cream cone?

The big cone is 6 x 10 cm. The small one, 4 x 6 cm, fits in a pencil case.

Can I make a chocolate or mint scoop?

Sure. The outline page leaves the scoop white, so any flavour works.

Why does the cone tip crease?

Usually it got no stuffing at all, or the tape strip was too long. A pinch of filling and short tape pieces help.
