Otter Paper Squishy Template Holding a Shell

Our otter paper squishy template is a brown otter standing upright with small round ears, a light face and a curled tail. In its paws it holds a pink seashell, and the template is free to print. A dark nose sits in the middle of its face. The shell is inside the outline, so nothing small sticks out.

Quick answer

Print at 100 % and colour the otter brown and the shell pink. Tape over both otters, trim them on the grey line and put them together. Stuff the body and a little into the tail. Grown-ups do the scissor work, and the finished otter isn't for kids under three.

An otter with a seashell

Otters are known for holding things in their paws. Ours has picked up a pink shell.

The fur is warm brown with a light face and chest. The tail curls round at the bottom. On the back you see the tail again but no face, and since the tail is thick and curves gently, the scissors can follow it in one smooth line.

Small round ears. Easy.

Making the otter squishy

  1. Print with scaling off and colour the otter brown, the face light and the shell pink.
  2. Tape both otters and cut along the outer line of the grey border.
  3. Tape round the otters but skip a short stretch at the side.
  4. Stuff the body, push a little into the tail and close it.

The tail looks good with a small amount of stuffing. Our paper squishy guide explains each step, and the seal and the capybara are in the template collection.

River and sea squishies

We don't have an otter squishy yet. The seal dumpling, the slow rising capybara and the mini jelly fish are close friends.
