Kids craft scissors with a spring do half the work for small hands. After every snip the spring pushes the blades open again, so a child only has to squeeze, and a printed paper squishy template comes out in one piece.

What can these craft scissors cut?

Paper. The scissors are plastic and made for exactly what a template needs. Thick foam and makeup sponges are a different job, and a grown-up cuts those with sharp scissors.

How big are the kids craft scissors?

They measure 13.6 cm long and 6.2 cm wide. That's a little shorter than a smartphone, so they slip into a pencil case without a fight. The tips are rounded.

Length	13.6 cm (5.4 in)
Width	6.2 cm (2.4 in)
Material	plastic with a spring
Tips	rounded
Colors	rose, sky, green or orange

Why four bright colors?

Craft boxes swallow anything pale. A loud color turns up again under the paper scraps. Siblings can each claim one and stop arguing over whose pair it is. If glue or tape gunk builds up on the blades, a slightly damp cloth wipes it off.

For a first project, print one of our free paper squishy templates and cut out both halves. Plan a good half hour for the very first squishy. Tape and filling are waiting in our DIY squishy supplies.

Use with an adult nearby.
