Matcha Cake Paper Squishy Template, Free Slice

Our matcha cake paper squishy template is a green slice of layered cake with cream stripes and little cream dots on top, free to print. The back is mirrored. That way the slanted top lines up when the halves go together.

Quick answer

Print at 100 % and colour the sponge layers green. Cover the halves in tape, cut round the grey edge and lay them back to back. Stuff the tall end more than the point. A grown-up cuts, and it's not for children under three.

Matcha cake slice with cream layers

Three green sponge layers alternate with pale cream. Small white dots line the slanted top like piped cream. The face sits in the middle layer.

The slice has one tall end and one pointy end. Cut the point slowly.

Making the matcha slice

  1. Print at actual size and colour the sponge green. Leave the cream layers pale.
  2. Cover both halves with clear tape and cut along the outer edge of the grey border.
  3. Lay them back to back. The mirrored back makes the slanted top meet.
  4. Tape the slanted side and the bottom, then stuff from the tall end.
  5. Push a pinch into the point with a pencil and close the tall end.

Too much filling makes the layers look wavy. Keep it light. The paper squishy guide explains it all, and the strawberry cake is in the template collection.

FAQ

How big is the matcha cake template?

Printed at 100 %, the big slice comes to 9 x 7 cm and the little one to 6 x 5 cm, tape border counted.

Why is the back of the cake mirrored?

Because the slice isn't symmetrical. Only a mirrored back lines up with the slanted top of the front.

Can I make it a chocolate cake?

Yes, colour the layers brown on the outline page. The shape works for any layered slice.
