Butter Paper Squishy Template, Free Printable Block
Our butter paper squishy template is a yellow butter block seen slightly from the side, so you get the top face and the side face in one shape. It's free to print. On the back a little butter curl replaces the face.
Quick answer
Print at 100 % and don't let the printer shrink it. Colour the top lighter than the side, tape both halves and cut along the grey border. Join the halves back to back and stuff them. An adult cuts, and the squishy isn't for children under three.

A butter block with a mirrored back
Butter squishies were everywhere this autumn, and butter showed up in paper squishy searches in several countries. So the block got its own page.

The back is a mirror image of the front. That matters, because the side face only lines up when both halves are laid back to back. A white shine line on top makes it look freshly unwrapped.
Straight edges make this one of the easiest designs to cut. Kids can do most of it, as long as someone checks the corners.

Making the butter squishy
- Print the page at actual size. A short 5 cm line on the sheet shows whether that worked.
- Colour the top pale yellow and the side a shade darker, so the block looks three-dimensional.
- Cover both halves with wide clear tape and push air bubbles out to the edges.
- Cut out along the outer edge of the grey border and lay the halves back to back.
- Tape the edges with short strips and leave two fingers of space open.
- Stuff it until the block feels plump, not hard, and close the gap.
A butter block with too much filling loses its corners. Keep it soft. For every step in detail, read our paper squishy guide, or pick another shape from the template collection.

FAQ
Why is the back of the butter mirrored?
Because the block isn't symmetrical. Only a mirrored back lines up with the front once you put the halves together.
How big is the butter template?
The big block is 9 x 7 cm and the small one 6 x 5 cm, measured with the grey border.
Is there a butter box to fold?
Yes, ten of them. The butter boxes in our template guide fold into 3D blocks instead of flat squishies.
