Hold this mochi whale squishy up to a lamp and the deep purple glows almost like a gemstone. It's see-through and full of glitter, with a tail that curls up behind it and a little blue spout on its head.

How does a mochi whale feel?

Squeeze the round belly and the whale squashes flat. Then go for the tail. It's just the right size for pinching between two fingers while you're on a phone call that should have been an email.

How big is the whale squishy?

The maker calls it a big mochi squishy but gives no measurements. The material is listed only as plastic.

Type	big mochi squishy
Design	purple whale with blue spout and glitter

A small sea on your shelf

The whale belongs to a series with a dolphin and a narwhal. Put them side by side and you've got a little ocean next to your books. On its own it suits anyone who stops at every single tank in the aquarium.

Keeping the glitter clear

A slightly damp cloth wipes off fingerprints. Keep the whale away from heaters and hot cars. A spot in the shade at room temperature is where it's happiest.

Our mochi squishies have more soft little critters.
