The squishy trends of 2026
Dumpling and butter squishies are the two big ones this year. On Google both are searched far more often than any other squishy shape, from Europe to the US and Australia. Dumplings also fill unboxing videos and some kids even went as one for Halloween. Taba, coconut oil and crunchy squishies grew fast over the summer.
We built this list from three things we can check ourselves: monthly search numbers from the Google Keyword Planner for 18 countries, the words Google suggests when you start typing "squishy", and the view counts of short squishy videos on TikTok and YouTube that we track. A squishy only lands here if its type shows up in those numbers and we have it in stock. We don't claim that our exact pieces were in those videos.
| Trend | What the numbers show | From our shop |
|---|---|---|
| Dumpling and bao | one of the two most searched squishy shapes of 2026 | bao in a steamer, seal dumpling, set of 4 |
| Butter | the other big one, strongest in Germany, Italy and Spain; moldable butter bars went far on TikTok | jumbo butter 24 cm, rainbow butter, butter and cheese set |
| Taba and maltose | very soft and moldable, often handmade | hamster daifuku, maltose gel ball, jelly cat |
| Coconut oil | searches roughly tripled between June and September | egg yolk ball, coconut oil fruit |
| Crunchy | more than ten times as many searches in September as in June | peanut, mangosteen, cheese wedge |
| Clear jelly and ice cubes | see-through squishies show up in many squishy videos | jelly cheese, ice cube 5 cm |
| Capybara and highland cow | two of the most searched squishy animals | capybara, highland cow |
| Mystery boxes | "pack an order with me" and scoop videos get millions of views | trend mystery box with 6 |
Want to see what just came in? The new squishies show every new piece. Our favorites are the ones we would pick ourselves.
What is the biggest squishy trend in 2026?
Dumpling and butter squishies, about level with each other. Both are searched far more often than any other squishy shape. Dumplings also turn up in hauls and costume videos everywhere.
Are these the squishies from TikTok?
Many people look for them as viral squishies or TikTok squishies. They are the same types you see in TikTok and YouTube videos: dumplings, butter blocks, taba and crunchy fruit. They are not the exact pieces from one particular video, and we don't sell branded squishies.
Which trending squishy is the softest?
The taba hamster daifuku. It squishes very deep and puffs back slowly. If you want a sound instead, pick a crunchy one.
How long does delivery take?
Plan on about 10 business days from order to delivery. In the Christmas season it can take a little longer. Every parcel comes with a tracking number.
How often does this list change?
We look at the search numbers and the videos again every few weeks. When interest in a type drops it leaves this page and something new takes its place.
