Taba squishy

Taba is one of the strongest squishy trends of the year and the videos rack up millions of views. The name stands for a material. It is a two-part silicone that you can knead and shape, with a smooth surface that feels close to skin. Cat paws are the classic taba shape and food shapes follow close behind.

Next to a foam squishy a taba feels heavier and denser. It doesn't puff back up in the same way. You press and mold it instead. A well made taba stays smooth. A sticky surface is often a sign that the silicone wasn't mixed well in the factory.

Taba fruit at a glance

Dragon fruit, mangosteen, peach, guava, lemon and strawberry lie side by side here. The dragon fruit changes colour in sunlight and the mangosteen has a glossy dark shell.

Extra soft: the taba hamster

The taba hamster daifuku is made of soft silicone and squishes very deep. Let go and it slowly puffs back into a round bun.

Snacks for the shelf

Pistachio, croquette, fried dough, croissant and chocolate cake stand in a row like in a bakery window. The pistachio and the croquette are handmade.

Three taba squishies for the desk

The vanilla ice cream, a pale blue soap bar and the hamster keep you company while you write. Each one feels different under your fingers.

A bowl full of taba

Orange, mango, cabbage and the cheese wedge fill one bowl. The mango and the orange look like something from the market stall.

What is a taba squishy?

A squishy made of soft two-part silicone. You can mold it with your fingers and it feels smoother and heavier than foam.

What is the difference between taba and slow rising squishies?

Slow rising squishies are PU foam. You squeeze them and they rise back over a few seconds. A taba is silicone that you knead and shape, so it feels more like dough than a sponge.

What age are taba squishies for?

Like all our squishies they are meant for ages 3 and up. Keep them away from the mouth and from sharp nails, and throw away a taba once it tears.
