Blank Cube Net Template, 5 cm Cube to Design
The blank cube net template folds into a 5 cm cube with six plain faces, free to print. You draw the design yourself. Kids can turn it into a dice, a face or any kawaii character.
Quick answer
Print the cube at actual size and measure its 1 cm check square. Draw on the faces first. Then an adult cuts the outer line, fold, and glue the tabs inside face by face. The finished cube isn't for children under three.

A blank cube to design
The blank cube is the open-ended one in our fold set. Six empty faces, one cross-shaped net.

Each face is a 5 cm square. The glue tabs sit on the outer edges and fold inside. Drawing is much easier while the net is flat, so plan your design first, and remember that the faces next to each other on the cross won't all sit next to each other on the finished cube.
Draw first, fold after.

How to fold the blank cube
- Print without scaling. Check the 1 cm square.
- Draw your design on the six faces.
- An adult cuts along the outer line.
- Fold every line with the drawing outside.
- Glue the tabs inside the neighbouring faces one by one and close the last face last.
Close the last face slowly, it's the fiddly one. Our paper squishy templates guide shows the cheese and toast cubes too, and flat squishies are in the template collection.
Cube squishies to squeeze
