Moon Paper Squishy Template, Sleepy Crescent

Our moon paper squishy template is a plump yellow crescent moon with a sleepy face, closed happy eyes and pink cheeks, plus two small printed stars, free to print. The back shows craters. It's chubby for a crescent, so it holds plenty of stuffing.

Quick answer

Print it at 100 % and colour the moon soft yellow. Tape both halves, cut along the grey edge and pair them. Stuff the thick middle most. A grown-up does the cutting, and the moon isn't for children under three.

A sleepy crescent moon

The moon is the bedtime shape of the collection. Its eyes are closed, as if it's already dreaming.

Sleepy crescent moon with stars

The crescent is thick in the middle and rounded at both tips. Two small stars are printed next to it on the front. On the back you see little craters, and with its sleepy face it's a sweet extra to tuck next to a pillow at night.

Round tips, easy cuts.

Making the moon squishy

  1. Print at 100 % and colour the moon yellow and the stars gold.
  2. Shade a few craters on the back.
  3. Tape both moons and cut round the outside of the grey border.
  4. Tape the halves back to back along the outer curve.
  5. Stuff through the inner curve, push filling into the tips, and close it.

The tips need only a pinch. The middle takes the rest. Our paper squishy guide has every step, and the star and the planet are in the template collection.

Night sky squishies

We don't have a moon squishy. The pink owl is a night bird that rises slowly, the galaxy deer has a starry look, and the ghost glows white.
