Capybara Paper Squishy Template with an Orange
The capybara paper squishy template is a calm brown capybara seen from the side, with a loaf-shaped body, a big blunt snout and a little orange with a leaf on its head, free to print. It has one kawaii eye and a cheek. The orange is a nod to the capybara photos people love.
Quick answer
Print at 100 % and colour the capybara brown and the orange bright. Seal both halves in tape and trim them on the grey line. The back is mirrored so the snouts line up. Fill the loaf of a body and tape it shut. Scissors are a grown-up job here, and capybaras made of paper don't belong with children under three.

A calm capybara with an orange
Capybaras are famous for looking relaxed. Ours sits in profile with its square snout forward.

The body is a long brown loaf with stubby legs and a small round ear. A tiny orange with a green leaf balances on its head. The back is mirrored and plain brown, which means the snout on the back points the same way as the one on the front once you put the two halves together.
Stubby legs are easy to cut.

Making the capybara squishy
- Print with scaling off and colour the body brown and the orange orange.
- Tape both halves and cut round the outside of the grey border.
- Lay them back to back so the snouts match.
- Tape the edge, leave a gap under the belly and stuff the body.
- Seal the belly with one last strip.
A loaf-shaped body likes even stuffing. Push it towards the snout and the tail. More in our paper squishy guide, and the otter is in the template collection.

The slow rising capybara comes with a turtle or a strawberry. There's a set of all three, and the axolotl mochi sits in the same collection.
