Turtle Paper Squishy Template with Hexagon Shell

For readers in the USA: here we sell our squishies as stress balls and collectibles for ages 14 and up. They are not toys for children. Any age tips in this guide apply to our shops outside the USA.

The turtle paper squishy template is a green turtle seen from the side, with a domed shell with a light hexagon pattern, a round head, stubby legs and a little tail, free to print. A kawaii eye, a cheek and a smile sit on the head. Stubby legs keep it simple to cut.

Quick answer

Print at 100 % and colour the shell. Tape both halves, cut along the grey border and put them back to back so the heads match. Stuff the shell into a dome. Cutting is a job for an adult, and paper turtles aren't for children under three.

Turtles are slow and steady. Ours walks with its head forward.

Green turtle with a domed shell

The shell is a high dome with light hexagons. The head, the legs and the tail are a lighter green. Because the turtle walks to one side, the back half is mirrored, and both heads point the same way once you put the halves together.

Short legs, simple cuts.

How to make the turtle

  1. Print with scaling off and colour the shell dark green and the hexagons light.
  2. Tape both turtles and cut round the outside of the grey border.
  3. Line up the heads and tape round the edge.
  4. Stuff the shell through a gap at the bottom so it domes.
  5. Keep the legs flat and close the gap.

A domed shell makes the turtle. Push most stuffing there. Our paper squishy guide shows each step, and the frog and the snail are in the template collection.
