Ladybug Paper Squishy Template, Red with Spots

For readers in the USA: here we sell our squishies as stress balls and collectibles for ages 14 and up. They are not toys for children. Any age tips in this guide apply to our shops outside the USA.

The ladybug paper squishy template is a round red ladybug with a dark head, black spots, a centre line and two short antennae, free to print. The face sits on the red shell with pink cheeks. Its round shape makes it a quick one.

Quick answer

Print it at 100 % and colour the shell red. Once both halves are taped, cut them out and join them. Stuff it round. An adult cuts the antennae, and paper ladybugs aren't for children under three.

A red ladybug with spots

Ladybugs, or ladybirds, are a garden favourite. Ours is round with a line down the middle of its shell.

Red ladybug with black spots

Black spots sit on each side of the line. The head is dark with two short antennae. On the back you get the spots without the face, and kids can decide how many spots their ladybug gets before the tape goes on.

Short antennae, easy shape.

How to make the ladybug

  1. Print at 100 % and colour the shell red and the head dark.
  2. Draw the spots black and let them dry.
  3. Tape both ladybugs and cut round the outside of the grey border.
  4. Tape the halves back to back and leave a small gap.
  5. Fill it until it's a little dome and close it.

A round, plump ladybug looks best. Our paper squishy guide has every step, and the bee and the snail are in the template collection.

Red and garden squishies

We don't sell a ladybug squishy. The crunchy strawberry is red with seeds, the apple rises slowly, and the spiky frog lives in the garden too.
