Cheese Paper Squishy Template, Wedge with Holes

For readers in the USA: here we sell our squishies as stress balls and collectibles for ages 14 and up. They are not toys for children. Any age tips in this guide apply to our shops outside the USA.

The cheese paper squishy template is a yellow wedge with round holes and a darker rind on top, free to print. Its straight edges make it one of the easiest shapes for kids to cut. The back is mirrored, just like the butter.

Quick answer

Print at 100 % and colour a few holes darker. Cover both halves with clear tape, cut out along the grey border and tape them back to back. Stuff the wide end more than the tip. An adult helps with scissors, and it's not for children under three.

A cheese wedge with holes

Cheese squishies are a classic in our shop, so a paper wedge had to be in the first template PDF. The holes sit on both halves.

A smiling face sits near the wide end. Paint a few holes darker. Now they look deeper, and that one small trick is what makes a flat piece of printer paper look like a real wedge of cheese from the fridge.

The tip is pointy, but not thin. Push only a little stuffing into it, or the tape splits there first.

How to make the cheese wedge

  1. Print at actual size and colour the rind a little darker than the cheese.
  2. Shade a few holes in orange or brown pencil.
  3. Tape both wedges completely, grey border included, and cut along the outer edge.
  4. Put them back to back. Because the back is mirrored, the rinds meet at the top.
  5. Tape the long sides in short pieces and leave the wide end open.
  6. Stuff from the wide end, a pinch into the tip first, then close it.

If the tip crinkles, the tape was stretched over the corner in one long strip. Use shorter pieces. The paper squishy guide explains seams in detail, and a cheese box to fold waits in the template collection.

The mini cheese wedge comes with a smooth or a flour finish. The crunchy wedge is handmade and crackles when you squeeze it.

FAQ

How big is the cheese template?

Your big wedge should come out at 9 x 7 cm, the small at 6 x 5 cm. Measure the 5 cm line on the sheet before cutting.

Do I need to cut out the holes?

No. The holes are printed, so the wedge stays one piece. Darker colour makes them look deep.

Can I make the cheese without tape?

You can glue the edges with a glue stick or craft glue. It tears sooner and loses the shiny look, so tape is the better choice.
