Squeeze the dinosaur egg squishy hard and the speckled shell seems to crack open. A clear water bubble pushes out through the gap, and inside it floats a tiny baby dino.

How does the dino egg hatch?

The shell is thick soft rubber and the bubble holds a watery jelly. Let go and the bubble slowly pulls back into the egg. Then it sits there ready for the next hatch.

Which dino is inside?

That's the surprise. Shell color and baby dino are both random, so nobody knows in advance which one is coming. Dino fans who collect a few may find a different one in each egg.

How heavy is the dinosaur egg?

About 88 g, noticeably heavier than a hen's egg. It fits in one hand. The maker doesn't give exact measurements, so we leave the size out.

Looking after a water squishy

Wipe only the outside with a damp cloth. Does it feel oily or wet? Wrap a tissue around the egg and press gently, and a wet spot tells you it leaks. Keep it away from heaters and glue.
