Inside sit tiny building block pieces that crackle when you squeeze.

Does the lemon squishy really change color?

It does, with temperature. Warm hands can shift the shade a little, so don't expect a rainbow. Hold it for a while and then compare it with the green it had straight out of the bag.

Crackle first, then a slow swell

The outside wears a crispy coating. Press it and the block pieces inside rub against each other with a crackle. Then the lemon slowly swells back into shape.
