Candy Cane Paper Squishy Template, Red and White

Our candy cane paper squishy template is a chunky candy cane hook with red and white diagonal stripes, free to print. A small face sits on the straight part. We made it thick, because a thin cane would tear the moment you stuff it.

Quick answer

Print at 100 % and colour every other stripe red. Tape both halves and let an adult cut the inside of the hook. Join them and stuff the cane evenly. Not a toy for children under three.

A chunky candy cane

Candy canes hang on Christmas trees all over the world. Ours is plump enough to squeeze.

Chunky striped candy cane

Red and white stripes run diagonally round the cane. The hook curves over at the top. The inner curve of the hook is the only tricky cut, and since a real candy cane has the same curve, you'll recognise this one even before you colour it.

Stripes are fun to colour.

Making the candy cane

  1. Print at 100 % and colour every other stripe red. The rest stay white.
  2. Tape both canes and smooth the tape along the curve.
  3. An adult cuts along the grey border, slowly inside the hook.
  4. Tape the halves back to back with short strips round the hook.
  5. Push stuffing into the hook with a pencil, fill the straight part and close it.

Long shapes need even stuffing. Push it along with a pencil. Our paper squishy guide has every step, and the gingerbread man is in the template collection.
