A glitter squishy has the glitter in its body, and ours all keep it under a clear or see-through skin. Most of them are mochi animals from one series. There is a pink bunny and an orange chick, a light blue narwhal and a purple whale. Each one squishes down into your palm when you press its round back and comes back up a moment later, ready for the next squeeze. Pick your favourite. The sugar style capybara and bunny feel different. They are filled with maltose, stretch wide when you pull and then gather themselves back up slowly.

Lots of people search for glitter dumplings. We don't carry them. Gel and water bead buns caused most of the squishy recalls this year, so our glitter comes in mochi animals and clear TPR shapes instead.

Bunny, chick, octopus, hedgehog, narwhal and whale line up from pink to purple. The glitter mochi bunny starts the row, the purple whale ends it.

This is what the glitter capybara looks like from a few centimetres away. The silver and blue flakes float inside the clear body.

Glitter squishies in the sun

On a sunny window sill the glitter really starts to sparkle. The glitter heart is 6.7 x 6.5 cm, next to it stand the jellyfish and the clear cat paw with fruit.

The glitter axolotl sits upright on an open palm. You can pick it in pink, purple, blue or yellow.

Press the sugar style bunny and the glitter inside shifts with your fingers. Let go and it slowly gathers itself back up.

Does the glitter come out of a glitter squishy?

It shouldn't. The glitter is sealed inside the body and not glued on top. If the skin ever tears, stop using the squishy and throw it away.

How do I clean a glitter squishy?

Rinse it under lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap and let it air dry. Clear skins attract dust and lint, and our care guide has more tips for sticky ones.

Which glitter squishy is the stretchiest?

The sugar style capybara and bunny, and the glitter heart in maltose style TPR. The maker's photos of the heart mention 22 to 28 °C, which is probably where it feels best.
